Ian has been appearing on the Cork stage for many years. He has performed in practically every genre of the theatre, playing a wide variety of roles in numerous dramatic plays, pantomime, and musical theatre.

For the Everyman Palace Theatre, he has appeared in productions of Oscar Wilde’s ‘Lady Windemere’s Fan’, Noel Coward’s ‘Private Lives’, J B. Priestley’s ‘An Inspector Calls’, J. B. Keane's ‘ The Field’ and Brian Friel's ‘Translations’.  More recently he appeared in Alan Akybourne’s ‘Relatively Speaking’.

He has performed in the Cork Opera House productions of ‘The Wizard of Oz’, ‘The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe’, ‘The Sound of Music’, and various Xmas Pantomimes.

In this production, Ian continues his long association with the writer Neil Simon, having appeared initially in ‘Brighton Beach Memoirs’, with the Montfort Stage School, then going on to perform in ‘The Gingebread Lady’, ‘ The Odd Couple’, and more recently staging a production of one of Simon’s most famous plays ‘Barefoot in the Park’ here at the Cork Arts Theatre!
